In Stitches… I’m beginning the fourth and final “Spring Mix” project. I’m really loving this yarn. I bought it a few years ago and waited until it matched designs that were floating in my head. It’s how crochet sometimes works with me. Sometimes yarn comes first and waits patiently to be chosen. Sometimes a pattern or project comes first and the perfect yarn is then sought. Sometimes I get it all wrong and waste hours trying to love the way a yarn and project come together only to frog it (rip-it rip-it) once I accept that the pairing is simply not right. My first attempt at project #3 was like that. I was close to finishing when I had to admit that it wasn’t working, that yarn and design didn’t vibe quite right. Once I accept that, I feel a sense of relief. Yes, hours were wasted, but getting it right is more important. And I did. #3 is something special. I’ll share soon
