Walk #28

I woke this morning, knocked gently on the door to our guest room/office and said a quick good morning to Chris. It’s really nice to be able to do that. Waking downstairs, I noticed our Weekend Walks book on the couch. Surprise for me! Chris took care of some work calls & stuff, we packed a lunch and headed out. #28 was a cool hike bringing us to the precise spot where Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts meet. Most of the 6 mile hike followed very rocky, inclining footpaths. We also walked along Old Starr Road. Sunk into the forest floor and banked by the familiar old rock walls, it is one of the earliest roadways in the area. It was not an easy breezy walk, but it wasn’t difficult or challenging either. My heart, lungs and legs worked just hard enough. We stopped to eat our lunch in Connecticut because we could. The marker was the halfway point in our walk and I was ready for my uncrustables. Back at the car, we toasted our 13,000 steps + 34 flights with fruit punch. Good day
