Y’all… this project has been an experiment, time suck, challenge and obsession. I’m so close to completion on the first. While the overall design remained consistent, I changed my thoughts on the construction process. Luckily, I was able to find a few more skeins of this yummy yarn so I did not have to pull days of work apart. The biggest bonus is that my pivot left me with a second piece halfway finished- which is fabulous because I won’t have to fight with myself about selling one! The process of creating something that only exists in my imagination is incredibly satisfying. After 3 attempts, I’ve finally landed on the sleeve join that suits this oversized, slouchy cotton “swancho.” It’s giving me both modern and vintage vibes and if I could, I’d do a cartwheel. But never in my life was I able to execute a proper cartwheel. I’ll stick to a happy dance.
